About This Overlook
Cape Royal is the southernmost viewpoint on the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, offering one of the most expansive panoramas of any overlook in the park. The viewpoint includes Angels Window, a natural rock arch through which the Colorado River can be seen 5,000 feet below. The North Rim receives far fewer visitors than the South Rim, making Cape Royal a more serene and intimate Grand Canyon experience.
