About This Overlook
Tunnel View is perhaps the most famous viewpoint in Yosemite National Park, offering an iconic vista of the entire Yosemite Valley. Named for its location at the eastern portal of the Wawona Tunnel, this overlook has been photographed countless times since the tunnel opened in 1933. The view encompasses El Capitan on the left, Bridalveil Fall on the right, and Half Dome centered in the distance—a composition that defines Yosemite in the public imagination.
